At Calvary, we believe that church membership is an important aspect of Christian discipleship. As we join together, we are able to encourage each other in our Christian walks and hold each other accountable. Membership to Calvary is reserved for those who are 18 years or older, who profess a faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ for redemption, who have been scripturally baptized, and is in agreement with Calvary’s doctrine and government.
There are three steps in the membership process at Calvary:
- Request a membership application packet and complete it. The packet provides information for church records and provides a place for you to share your relationship with the Lord Jesus and His work in your life. It includes a copy of Calvary’s doctrinal statement and constitution. Upon completion, submit it and schedule an appointment with one of our elders.
- During your interview the elder will discuss what we believe at Calvary and how we operate as a church and will make every effort possible to answer any of your questions. More importantly you will be able to share your relationship with Jesus Christ and His work in your life.
- After your interview and upon the recommendation of the elders you will be presented to the church body to be welcomed into the membership of Calvary.
After you’ve completed these steps, our elders review and approve the applications. On a regular basis, we welcome new members to our church during an evening service.
