Dear everybody,
For some reason, I dropped the ball on getting these emails out to you guys about what’s been going on here on camp. So I am going to try and remember and hopefully the pictures will give you a good idea also.
Just because I haven’t written doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy. Last Friday was a big day for Dan and me because of going in for his class at the BI in Temuco and then doctor’s appointments and shopping in the afternoon. That day the team stayed on camp and worked most of the morning on cleaning up the mess of fallen trees out by the tool shed. They burned most of the brush and also got the logs bucked and ready for the sawmill. They took the afternoon off to go to Lican and see our little town.
Saturday, everyone was pretty tired out. They still worked but it was more of the same clearing and cleaning. Evan got the woodshed part of the tool shed taken down and they marked out the placement for the new shed.
Sunday was a very long day. We went to Coñaripe in the morning for their service. Of course it was Mother’s Day so they had a special presentation for that. Then we crammed ourselves in the van and the pickup and headed up to Liquiñe for their service. There also they had some special Mother’s Day presentations. They also had a few people visiting from other churches and they gave them time to share with the congregation. We didn’t get home till close to eight that night.
Monday, Danny went into town and rented the compacter for Nazaret. The fill needs to be compacted before we can pour. Danny also picked up the power trowel from the bus station. Jeremiah ran the compacter.
Danny brought back some paint also for the ladies to paint the inside of one of the cabins.
Yesterday was a day of juggling all the different teams. We had the tractor guys pulling logs out.
We had the sawmill guys cutting the logs into the lumber needed for the new deck and the new tool shed.
Matt, Evan and Jeremiah were on concrete duty and the ladies were painting Galilea cabin. Danny ran around making sure everyone had what they needed and helped with the concrete.
Unfortunately the guys ran out of gravel and daylight to finish the floor all at once. They got over half way done though. The girls have the first coat on the whole inside of the cabin.
Today Danny ordered more gravel so that they can finish the floor. While waiting for that to arrive, they will cut down a few more trees needed for lumber for the tool shed.
Well, I think that sums up what we’ve been up too these past few days. I will try to send some more pictures later.
Thank you for your prayers,
Liz
