Taking advantage of the Christmas holidays we are taking six weeks to look into the scriptures for a renewed yet familiar glimpse of the person of the celebration. Beginning with Thanksgiving we look to selected passages that consistently point us to Jesus the Christ.
The Gospel of Mark
This series features a new study begun in January 2011 on the Gospel of Mark. The study unfolds Mark’s account of Jesus, the servant of the Lord acting in loving obedience to His Father, offering up Him self the sacrifice for the remission of sins. This beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of Godexamples and compels all who would follow Him to true discipleship by Loving God and Loving People.
A Survey of Galatians
Dave Georgeff joined us for the first of our Calvary Advance Weekend where we spend a set aside time together as the body of Christ for the purpose of immersing ourselves in the study of God’s Word. Dave Georgeff pastors the Grace Community Bible Church in Jerseyville, Illinois.
Discover Creation
We had the privilege in the fall of 2010 to host Richard Stepanek for three sessions regarding creation science. Richard is from the Alpha Omega Institute in Grand Junction, Colorado. These three sessions consist of the following topics: Astronomy and the Glory of God, Refuting Compromise, and Catastrophic Geology.
